Sounds like you had a great time.
My family is thinking about making the trip, but we will probably taking the sissy way of hotels and B&B's!
I learned a lot from your journal, sounds like you had a wonderful time and you did it on your own.
You can read a lot of comments from different sites about the WHW but your personal comments really add another dimension to it.

Doing things "self-sufficiently", back packing and camping all the way etc is definitely what gives us the separation from civilization and the challenge and sense of adventure that we crave! But, whether you're B&Bing or bivouacking, as long as it's a new experience and a challenge for you, that's what counts. You'll still come back with a fresh perspective on life! Alan
